  • Develop the ability to build positive chemistry and rapport
  • Deal with multi-levels sales structures—users, authorizers, and purchasing agents

  • Use post-sales call measurement to assess their own performance and identify key customer issues by thinking and responding like a business consultant

  • Recognize basic styles of buyer behavior and determine how to adapt to each style to create positive "chemistry"

  • Analyze what sales people say, reducing the potential for misunderstanding

  • Effectively manage and control anger, conflict and difficult situations

  • Develop active listening skills to focus on what customers are saying

  • Be able to facilitate, guide, and close discussions in one-on-one and group settings

  • Build and give appropriate credit for other peoples ideas and avoid putting others on the defensive

  • Make a positive impact on the quality of teamwork and productivity within the work unit by effectively giving and receiving feedback

  • Sell long-term relationships rather than price

  • Incorporate interviewing skills into the sales process in lieu of pitching products

How to Make Big Bucks in Sales Courses

In this article I want to share with you five timeless tips for making big bucks in sales. These tips are not for the faint of heart, but for the people focused on high levels of achievement in sales. I call these people Top Performers. People fail in sales because they use the wrong methods. The tips will ensure you success in sales if diligently applied. If you are ready to be a top performer and make big bucks, read on...

TIP#1 MAKE THE QUALITY DECISION TO MAKE MONEY

People succeed in sales because they decide to prosper and succeed. They make money because they believe they can. They persistently and consistently take actions that turn their dreams into realities. People often fail because they have not decided to be successful in sales. You must develop a strong money-making focus.

TIP#2 EXAMINE & CHANGE YOUR THINKING

Rip out your negative self-limiting beliefs. Remove your doubts, your fears, your excuses. Eliminate your rationalizations and your justifications for failure. You can think and grow rich in sales. Examine and change your thinking!

Tip#3 WRITE DOWN YOUR REASONS FOR SUCCEEDING IN SALES

Write down all of the reasons you can think of for succeeding. "If you have a big enough why, you will figure out how." Whatever your reasons, WRITE THEM DOWN. Review your list of reasons for succeeding every morning when you get up and every night before you go to sleep.

TIP #4 USE The 20 IDEA METHOD

Earl Nightingale invented this method many years ago. Here's how it works; Think of your most pressing sales problem and write it down clearly. Be very specific. No problem can be intelligently solved until succinctly identified. Now think! Make your brain come up with 20 ideas or solutions to the problem. Then act on the best ideas. Creative ideas are the source of sales success.

TIP#5 BECOME A HARD WORKER

Many sales people are simply poor workers! They simply cannot focus and stay on task! They are social by nature and so are continually distracted into idle chatter, dealing with personal problems, or shooting the breeze when they should be working. Developing an excellent work ethic is still a major key to high income in sales.
